Xander is short for Alexander the Great.  Alexander was a Greek king and a legendary hero who created one of the largest empires in ancient history through his numerous conquests. 

A second note:  The breeder of Xander, WCK Danes, follows an auto racing theme in naming puppies.  The sport of racing and Alexander the Great shared a common goal, to conquer all.   

Xander's Pedigree

Pictured at 4.75 months old and 95 pounds.   He's a huge puppy!  Beautiful bone/substance.  He's VERY sweet and such a trooper, he didn't mind the rain at all.

Pictured at 14 weeks old.  This was our first time meeting Xander in person.   He did well in our first stacking session with him.  He's a very sweet boy.

Xander has gorgeous bone and body.   He's going to be a substantial male.  The front assembly is outstanding and in balance to his sound rear.   All of this is reflected in his good movement.  His neck is beautifully shaped.

A nice head completes the package.

He loves cheese!
