In Greek mythology, Apollo was known as a sun god who raced across the sky in his chariot.  He also embodied the ideal masculine beauty. 

A second note:  The breeder of our Apollo,  WCK Danes, follows an auto racing theme in naming puppies. While the mythological Apollo obviously did not participate in auto racing events, he surely raced one of the oldest vehicles known to man -- one with REAL horsepower.

* Apollo also did well at the Int'l shows earning his Nat'l and Int'l puppy championship titles and garnering a BOB
   and a Group 3 in very tough competition!!

* At the Sacramento Valley D.F.A. Match, Apollo won a Group 1 in a very competitive Working group!!

* Apollo has 11 AKC points including a major.
